A joy of expecting

Forty weeks.
One glance
a day.

miana always knows exactly where you are - week by week, day by day - and stays out of your way. No account. No feed. Nothing leaves your phone.

Growth, week by week

CHAPTER 01 First trimester · weeks 1-12

Open. Glance. Close.

The Today screen is the whole app, most days. A hand-drawn trimester diagram shows the week you are in - one dot per week, lived weeks filled, weeks ahead hollow. Under it: how big the baby is right now, what is developing this week, a prompt for this week's bump photo, and a letter to seal for the day they arrive.

Week 7. Everything on this page, for something the size of a blueberry.
miana's Today screen: week 22 plus 2 days, the trimester ring, prompts to add this week's bump photo and write a letter, and a papaya-sized comparison card.
CHAPTER 02 Second trimester · weeks 13-26

Track what helps. Ignore the rest.

Eight trackers, every single one opt-in and off by default: steps, blood pressure, blood sugar, kicks, mood, symptoms, digestion, intimacy. Sync with Apple Health, or don't - your call. The blood sugar logbook is shaped like the paper diary a midwife already reads, against targets your own practice sets - never ours.

Week 20. Halfway. The anatomy scan week - and the baby is a banana now.
miana's blood sugar tracker: today's reading against your target, and a logbook shaped like a paper Blutzucker-Tagebuch - one row per meal, one column per day.
CHAPTER 03 Third trimester · weeks 27-40

The paperwork, minus the panic.

A prenatal checklist built around Germany's actual Mutterpass appointment rhythm - with a general version for everyone else - plus Moments, a private photo journal, and a one-tap PDF export of your readings that a doctor can actually use.

Week 40. A small pumpkin. See you on the other side.
miana's prenatal checklist: the German Mutterpass schedule, trimester progress, and completed appointments like the anatomy scan and glucose tolerance test.
miana's Today screen: week 22 plus 2 days, the trimester ring, prompts to add this week's bump photo and write a letter, and a papaya-sized comparison card.

Things to keep

Forty weeks leave more than data behind.

Four of these exist for the day it's over, not the day you log them. Two of them you won't see here - they're better found.

Feel

Hold your thumb to the ring and feel this week's heartbeat rhythm - the pace a heart this age actually keeps. Not a recording, not a measurement. Just the tempo, in your hand.

Every week

Dear You

Write a letter now, seal it, and it stays sealed - from you too - until the day your baby arrives. Some weeks you'll write one line. Some weeks you'll need the whole page.

Opens on the birthday

Silhouette

Each bump photo lines up against the last one - the previous week shown faintly on screen while you take the next. Forty weeks end up as one continuous shape instead of a camera roll.

Week by week

Your Universe

Every night you check in on how you're feeling becomes a star. By the end it's a sky no other pregnancy could have made - yours, and only from nights you actually lived.

Stays dark until the birthday

The rest of it

And the unglamorous parts, done properly.

Not features to admire - things you'll actually reach for, at the specific moment you need them.

103 foods, answered offline Cheese, sushi, that one herbal tea. "Can I eat this?" needs no signal and no waiting.
41 appointments on the German schedule The real Mutterpass rhythm, cited as such - and exportable straight into your calendar.
39 weeks of what's developing Written out in full German and English - not a machine translation of one into the other.
1 tap to a PDF your practice can read Weight, blood pressure, blood sugar, meds and symptoms, laid out for an appointment - paginated so nothing gets cut off.
Both ways Apple Health, entirely optional Weight, blood pressure, blood sugar, steps and State of Mind. Decline it and nothing stops working.
Day & Night two themes, both real Warm paper by day, Nocturne after dark - because week 33 at 3 a.m. is a real use case.

At 3 a.m. in week 33

The name

We built miana while expecting our own child.

A friend to guide us through this extraordinary chapter, day by day, and keep everything on track - and it turned out useful enough to become the whole app.

With love from Berlin,

That's where the name comes from.
